BiographyWho am I? My name is Alexandra Ross, most call me Ally. I graduated from Upper Darby High School in 2017. I was apart of Varsity cheer leading, Track, Swimming, National Art Honors Society and clubs. I am a deep person and always speak my mind. I am an outgoing, curious, and genuine person. Someone anyone could talk to, count on and trust. Most importantly, I can be loud and ask a lot of questions. What is my major? Currently undecided, but as of now I am a Liberal Arts major. I hope to find what career path I want soon but I have been considering Criminology/Law or Medical. I have many passions and I'm interested in so many different things. I want to work with people, help them, and make a difference in the world. I have taken numerous personality and career tests and still cannot make a decision. I am a very indecisive person, I think it's because I don't want to fail. When do I plan to graduate or transfer from DCCC? My dream school is University of Pennsylvania even if it's graduate school. But, I have been considering University of Delaware, Temple, Hofstra, or a farther school depending what I choose to do. I have been looking into programs where I can achieve my Bachelor's and continue my education. Where do I live (have lived)? I live in Upper Darby, but I'm from Drexel Hill. I lived in a row-home almost my entire childhood then moved in with my grandmother. I personally like living in Upper Darby better because it's quiet and small. Why am I attending DCCC? (Deeper dive: What is "my why"....my intrinsic motivation for my education?) I am attending DCCC for my pre-requisites and to prepare myself for a 4 year University. My intrinsic motivation for continuing my education is to create a purpose for myself and create my own opportunity. I will learn many things that will better myself, my life and my future. I believe a college education will further me and grant me stability, to live comfortably, and to be successful. Also, it enables me to be able to help people and make money! I appreciate the small life lessons that can help me everyday. How will I approach my learning and writing in this course? I will approach my writing with a creative and positive mindset. I will use the steps needed to create a well-written piece and take my time. I generally make dead lines and edit like crazy. I used the tools and material to explore new genres and compose more detailed, meaningful work. My Scene (written text, photos, videos are all applicable) OR My Course Legacy (how do you want to be remembered?) - I am an independent 19 year old that works for everything I have. I have a big family and 3 siblings being Steven(26), Jadyn(16), and Weston(7). We have a German Shepard Juno, and a crazy Kitten Prada. I am a nanny and I love my job and I take every opportunity to make money. I have a small circle but my friend group is so close and we make moves. We all refer to each other as "sisters". We have gone to Bonnaroo in Tennessee, and Rolling Loud in Miami, both Music Festivals. Also, my best friend Alyia is pregnant and I'm about to have a neice! I have been working on my mental health and working towards my future by taking the steps needed to advance. - My course Legacy would be to be remembered as a great friend, person, lover and athlete. I made a mark at Upper Darby when I cheered and I plan to continue my passion as an athlete. I dream to eventually win a National Title. I was 0.25 points away from being a National Champion in 2017. I want to use my talents and my learned knowledge and go as far as I can. I want to make strong connections with my professors and keep them throughout my college years. This way I will always have the knowledge and support given to me at one time that can only help me improve. My Proust Questionnaire If you would like to learn more about me, I have posted a very personal, "Proust Questionnaire" on my blog! - This Questionaire contains many deep questions that are rarely asked. It was exciting to explore parts of myself I never was curious about before. I also shared it with my friends to become closer with them. |
