It is not light that we need, but fire; it is not the gentle shower, but thunder. We need the storm, the whirlwind, and the earthquake.

This is an insight of the daily things I find gratitude in within a week’s time. It’s about my positive experiences, and what makes life feel more worthy. I used positive psychology as the main focus as I tracked my moments during the week. The purpose of doing this was to improve my well-being and help me find light of everyday. What is Positive Pyschology & Why Is it Important? (Positive Psychology Program), Greater Good in Action: Science-Based Practices for a Meaningful Life (UC Berkeley's Project Home Page), Three Good Things (Greater Good in Action)
P.E.R.M.AThe P.E.R.M.A Model is used in Positive Psychology and is composed of 5 components. I will be applying it to my journal entries from the "three good things" project. Where each letter represents it's own piece of the model. P, is for positive emotion, pleasure and enjoyment. E, mainly for engagement or flow. R, meaning relationships, social belonging, and connections. M, for meaning, purpose, or fulfillment. Finally, A for accomplishments, and achievement. P: positive emotion, pleasure and enjoyment E: engagement or flow R: relationships, social belonging, and connections M: meaning, purpose, or fulfillment A: accomplishments, and achievement After I used this model to analyse my entries, I have found many applied to me. I tallied at least two or more for each component. For a visual example I will display my chart!
P: 4 E: 2 R:3 M: 3 A: 2

Glad to see this posted. I appreciate the rhetorical choices you made in the PERMA section of the discussion.

Also, it looks as if your blog has been moved under the Contact page. Was this an intentional move?

PERMA Model. First of all great post and thank you for giving us a glimpse into the things you are grateful for and why. I noticed you spoke a lot about a certain event and related that to why you were grateful. You used perspectives from these events and shaped them into a lesson of gratitude, THAT IS AWESOME. I got about halfway through and i did not notice many moments of accomplishments and at the end while still searching for more of that I saw it was low on your PERMA MODEL? Why do you think it worked out that way and do you plan to attach more accomplishments in the upcoming drafts?
