It is not light that we need, but fire; it is not the gentle shower, but thunder. We need the storm, the whirlwind, and the earthquake.

Revision:I will be reflecting on my revision process throughout my Narrative Project. How the process’ impacted my interpretations, and the way it made me feel. Also, how I was able to apply new knowledge and technique to refine my pieces and strengthen them. It is beneficial to go back and critique your work fixing many of the small errors found in the original piece. Following the revision process basically combs your piece to perfection. What is Fan Fiction -- and why is it making people nervous? Insight of my LifeThis piece was written for my Saturday, Communications class. We were required to explore ourselves, our culture and identity. It was difficult at first to try and figure out what culture I was apart of. I figured I wasn't apart of any culture since I wasn't raised any particular way but, I am. There are many different types of culture and they are all accepted and unique. Welcome to an Insight of my life.
Video Reflection:Welcome to my 2nd reflection blog for my English 112 class. I will be sharing my experiences, assignments, and learning's from this class along with my thoughts and opinions. Please excuse my looks and nervousness! My conclusion will be added in a second video as a part 2. Thank you for viewing! Part 2: My conclusion*Please excuse my looks and video quality. I attempted these videos so many times and it was very difficult for me. I hope my viewers relate and enjoy the class as much as I do!*
I've taken my last post, "Composing a Past Scene" and created a different kind of literature that allowed me to re-genre the scene. I strictly used material from my Narrative Project uniting various lines and keeping them entact. My scene was about facing the issue of leaving my childhood home due to my mother's decision. Importantly, how it negatively impacted me but overall was a blessing in disguise. Section I: Found Poem (Cento)Through the Storm"Tears streamed down my face, Treasures sacrificed and left behind. The sun was absent, it was pouring. My heart felt so heavy, I could barely recognize her. Weak and torn, She needed us more than ever. “When it rains, it pours” and it kept pouring. Staring into the empty created a knot in my stomach. My family was miserable and falling apart. My parents destroyed each other, she was being tortured. The nightmares, paranoia, anxiety, and depression. Willing to give up, She is the strongest woman. I think what could’ve been, a difference in life. Decompress and vent, it’s dark outside, “I love you so much” she says. Crying with joy, excited to move on, We were best together to stay strong through the storm." Section II: Reflection
My mom looked in our eyes with dread, “if we’re strong we can do anything. This is just a very hard time in our life. Jadyn my younger sister’s eyes started tearing up. “I don’t want to do this, why do we need to let them take it”? I pat her back and remind her, “this will pass over-time and it could always be a blessing in disguise”. My mother shouts, “Time heals all and change is always good. We will be safe, comfortable, and will be able to save money. I know losing our home is hard on all of us. We will adjust and be a healthy family again”. Jadyn looked at me with discomfort, I knew she was hurting. None of us wanted to leave our house because of our father’s actions, but we did. Turns out it was the best thing we could've done. |
