My mom looked in our eyes with dread, “if we’re strong we can do anything. This is just a very hard time in our life. Jadyn my younger sister’s eyes started tearing up. “I don’t want to do this, why do we need to let them take it”? I pat her back and remind her, “this will pass over-time and it could always be a blessing in disguise”. My mother shouts, “Time heals all and change is always good. We will be safe, comfortable, and will be able to save money. I know losing our home is hard on all of us. We will adjust and be a healthy family again”. Jadyn looked at me with discomfort, I knew she was hurting. None of us wanted to leave our house because of our father’s actions, but we did. Turns out it was the best thing we could've done.
